Website: https://letipoforange.com
This California Privacy Rights / CA Act Policy (“California Policy”) applies to California residents who visit or use https://letipoforange.com and any related pages, forms, and content (the “Site”). This Policy supplements our general Privacy Policy and explains rights that may be available under California law, including the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (“CCPA/CPRA”). California law requires businesses to provide notice about categories of personal information collected, the purposes for which it is used, and whether it is sold or shared.
1. California Privacy Rights
Subject to applicable exceptions and verification requirements, California residents may have the following rights:
- Right to Know the categories of personal information we collect, the sources of that information, the purposes for collecting, using, or disclosing it, and the categories of third parties to whom it is disclosed.
- Right to Access specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.
- Right to Correct inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.
- Right to Delete personal information we collected from you, subject to legal and operational exceptions.
- Right to Opt Out of the sale or sharing of personal information, if applicable.
- Right to Limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information, if applicable.
- Right to Non-Discrimination for exercising your California privacy rights. California’s official consumer-rights materials summarize these rights as know, delete, correct, opt out, limit, and equal treatment.
2. Categories of Personal Information We Collect
In the 12 months preceding the Updated Date, we may have collected the following categories of personal information from or about visitors to the Site:
- Identifiers, such as name, email address, phone number, mailing address, IP address, or other similar identifiers;
- Internet or other electronic network activity information, such as browsing activity, page views, device/browser data, and interaction with the Site;
- Commercial or professional information, such as business name, service category, and information provided in connection with membership, networking, or inquiry submissions;
- Communications content, such as the contents of messages or inquiry forms you submit to us.
This matches the visible Site experience, which includes public business/member information and a contact/inquiry form for joining or requesting information.
3. Sources of Personal Information
We may collect personal information from the following sources:
- directly from you, such as when you fill out a form, contact us, or communicate with us;
- automatically from your browser or device when you use the Site;
- from service providers that support website hosting, security, analytics, communications, or related operations;
- from members or chapter representatives if information is submitted for directory or chapter-related purposes.
4. Why We Collect and Use Personal Information
We may collect, use, retain, and disclose personal information for the following business or commercial purposes:
- to operate, maintain, and improve the Site;
- to respond to inquiries and communications;
- to provide chapter, meeting, membership, referral, and networking-related information;
- to publish and maintain member, board, or business listing information;
- to monitor security, prevent fraud, and protect the Site and users;
- to comply with legal obligations and enforce our policies.
California law requires businesses to disclose the purposes for which categories of personal information are collected or used.
5. Categories of Personal Information Disclosed
In the preceding 12 months, we may have disclosed the categories of personal information listed above to:
- website hosting providers;
- IT, security, and maintenance vendors;
- communication or form-processing vendors;
- professional advisors or service providers assisting with operations or legal compliance;
- government entities or other parties when required by law.
We disclose personal information only for business or operational purposes consistent with this Policy and our Privacy Policy.
6. Sale or Sharing of Personal Information
As of January 1, 2026, LeTip of Orange does not sell personal information for money.
As of January 1, 2026, LeTip of Orange does not knowingly share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Because the Site includes public member and board listings, contact details intentionally made available on the Site are published for chapter visibility and networking purposes, not sold as consumer data. The Site publicly displays member and board business contact information.
If our practices change and California law requires an opt-out mechanism, we will update this Policy and provide any required notice.
7. Sensitive Personal Information
We do not knowingly collect or use sensitive personal information through the Site for purposes that would require offering a separate California right to limit its use, except as otherwise permitted by law. The current public privacy page states the site does not process sensitive personal information, although that page is an older template and should be updated for consistency.
8. Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including to respond to inquiries, maintain records, provide chapter-related communications, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
